 Coming Home

A journey into the heart and ritual of tea ceremony

EMI_5338-HD.jpg

Deepen into stillness through the unfolding of tea

Tea is a beautiful ritual that allows us the opportunity to slow down and be present. It provides us with space to connect with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. Tea brings us a feeling, a wisdom, a remembering - one that is unique to each person.

Join Kailee Smith and Carolynn Grey this coming October for a 40 day journey into the heart and ritual of tea ceremony.

After the busyness of Summer, this is your invitation to slow down and return to the earth, return to your body and return to your temple. Over our 6 weeks together, we will be softening and expanding into the sweet medicine of tea and learning all about her wisdom.

The ceremony of tea is more than just drinking tea, it’s a timeless ritual that brings us into harmony with the earth and each sip is a step into mindfulness and presence. It takes 40 days to develop a new habit and integrate the benefits which is why we have chosen this amount of time to steep together.

This journey is just for you and an act of self-love. You will be held tenderly in sacred pause to commune earth, body and soul.

If you’ve been feeling the call to tea, this is your opportunity to connect with the seasons of change and bring a heart opening ritual into your life.

If we’re not mindful, it’s not tea that we’re drinking but our own illusions and afflictions.
If the tea becomes real, we become real.
When we are able to truly meet the tea, at that very moment we are truly alive.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Meet Your Ceremonialist Guides

Kailee Smith

Kailee has been working with tea for over 5 years, having studied under Wu De and Mariana Rittenhouse.

Her connection to tea stems from her great grandmother who was a tea leaf reader from Ireland. Tea has always been a part of her life and when she began to dive into the ritual and act of ceremony, everything changed. As a reiki master and kundalini teacher, she spent a lot of her time in the ethers and ceremonial tea was a coming home to the earth and her body.

Tea has helped her through some of the toughest moments of her life, helping her to shift perspectives. It has truly been medicine and she is now excited to share that medicine with each of you.

 Carolynn Grey

In the depths of burnout, tea came into Carolynn’s life in 2021. Struggling with depression and feeling disconnected from herself and nature, tea became her anchor – a gentle companion guiding her back to wholeness.

Studying under Tea Ceremonialist, Marianna Rittenhouse, Carolynn fully immersed herself in the ritual of tea. Through daily practice and a deepening understanding of tea as medicine, Carolynn began to heal her body, mind and spirit.

Not only did tea bring Carolynn home to her heart, tea inspired Carolynn to share her with others. Carolynn’s work now centers around creating space for others to find presence, clarity and confidence so they can deepen their connection with self, with nature and with the world around them.
